How Do I Know I’m Getting A Quality Design?

Design-Build is all about quality – quality that comes from having credentials as well as creativity, plus
the references – and buildings – to prove it.

In every state, and throughout the Miami Valley, the Design-Build delivery system is credited with buildings
that have proven, from the time of occupancy and throughout the decades that follow, that there is no
compromise in the quality of their design, or the materials and workmanship that brought that design to
reality. One of the reasons this is so is that Design-Build is one of the few, rare instances in business
where there are no adversarial relationships.

Everyone is on the same team, and has the same goal: a great, timeless building that creates lasting pride,
growing value, and a positive, productive, pleasing work environment.

Protecting Owner Interests

Ordinarily, an architect is only held responsible for exercising “the degree of care than an average architect
would employ.” He or she does not warrant a successful outcome. Contractors do warrant that the result
of their work will be a successful project.

One of the primary reasons owners favor design-build construction is that the designer is held to a stricter
standard in a design-build context than when there is a separate contract for design services.
