DAYTON FREIGHT
LINES
The metropolitan area’s largest independent
trucking company, with 30 service centers in a 10-state area,
chose Wilcon to substantially renovate, and double the size,
of their headquarters terminal. The terminal,
built in 1960, is the company’s largest, serving the
greater Dayton area.
This design-build project involved Wilcon in
its capacity as a Star Metal Builder and Wilcon’s architect-partner,
Roll & Associates. The Dayton Freight project included
26 new loading docks, new administrative offices,
and special features such as a trucker’s lounge and
communications center for dock and fleet management.
Dayton Freight was completed on a fast-track basis, thanks
to the unique ability of the design-build delivery
method to streamline scheduling and control costs. |
